favor- “ette”: liddabit sweets

Repeat after me:

Bourbon.
Coffee.
Bacon.
Caramel.
Popcorn.

While these areĀ five most excellent ingredients all on their own, they also happen to come together in the amazing kitchen of Liddabit Sweets (in – what else? – their Bourbon-Coffee-Bacon Caramel Corn, of course).

My sweet tooth has been well-documented on this blog, and Liddabit Sweets is one of my very favorite places to indulge it. I discovered this little gem a few years ago at my beloved Brooklyn Flea, and was immediately taken with their charmingĀ graphics andĀ packaging (yes, I’m a sucker for a pretty package).

And then they offeredĀ me a sample of something called a ā€œBeer and Pretzel Caramelā€.

Wha????

It was sweet andĀ salty, crunchy and buttery, and I proceeded to buy a bag to take home – along withĀ some sea salt caramels,Ā  a ā€œS’moreā€ bar and the aforementioned popcorn.

Needless to say, the ride from Brooklyn back to Westchester ended with a car floor littered with cellophane and wax paper,Ā as well as some veryĀ sticky hands (butĀ  a very happy Sheri!).

Take the ā€œS’more Barā€ – a homemade graham cracker, topped with thick ganache and a bruleed homemade marshmallow.

Seriously?

And the good news is that youĀ don’t have to drive to Brooklyn to treat yourself to Liddabit’s heavenly deliciousness (although have you really not been to the Flea yet? I’ll meet you there!).

    I am such a huge fan of their sea salt caramels. They have Liddabits at the general store around the corner from me – too close for comfort!
